It’s dang near May, and this is the perfect Spring vehicle – International Scout II with a 345 V8 and an auto transmission. I’ve never seen a Scout with a shaker hood, but I’d try to find an original and it wouldn’t be a tough to do. The copper metallic color is different, and not a real Scouty-color, but it works well. The interior has been redone with a “custom” dash that looks to be stainless steel bent to a highly professional degree. The new dash eliminates the rectangular sweeping speedo that the 1970s Scouts had but I have to admit, I like this new dash with the round gauges better than the original. The retro Midas plaid interior is a cool touch as well. Buy this Scout II out of Klemme, Iowa at just over $8,000 with the reserve unmet.
