Jeep CJ-5 Monster Truck

Monster truck alert! This 1978 Jeep CJ-5 has gone way under the knife for this build. Any CJ is a great start for a rock crawler or beach cruiser, but this beast might be a little overboard. Really other than the modified frame I’m not sure what is left of the Jeep. Even the body is a fiberglass replica, but that doesn’t matter. I just want to pretend I’m at Monster Jam and I’m the main act. In other words if I get my hands on this CJ-5 look out. I will try to run over whats in my way! That should be an achievable task with 49″ IROK tires and a 401ci engine on custom rockwell axels.

It’s not looking like monster truck is still legal for road use based off of its Homebuilt utility title given to it by the state of Colorado. However there has to be some loop holes to jump through to make it “road worthy”. No matter where you had this 1978 Jeep CJ-5 or what your plans were, I think it will be more than capable. It is sitting on Ebay right now where the current bid is only $285!

Well this shot goes to show that it will hold its own out on the trails… or off the trails.
