To find a rust free 1984 Toyota pickup truck is like running into a leprechaun riding a unicorn that’s hurdling over sasquatch. But here, behold, in Minneapolis, Minnesota no less, is a rust-free 1984 Toyota king cab 4×4 pickup truck. Originally a California truck the owner tells us “Toyota bed liner does no has any rusty” whatever the fuck that means. Lots of pictures though that show some appropriate scaling on the underside. The King Cab on this truck would lose any class action suit in this decade for false advertising – the rear cab area is barely large enough for two small speakers and a lap dog. The topside photos would lead me to believe it’s had at least one respray and probably in the past couple of years. I’m guessing they painted it at the same time they adhered the modern TRD sticker to the fabulously vintage rear quarter panel. Bidding has been brisk on this little barely broken in Toyota 4×4 at 158,000 mile pickup. It’s currently in the mid four thousand dollar range with just under a day to go.
