1987 Suzuki Samurai JX

This might not look like much of a Mudder, but to me this 1987 Suzuki Samurai JX is the epitome of cheap fun. I have had many different experiences in Samurais or their Geo counterpart the Tracker. Each time has been engrained in my memories as way too much fun. From building a body lift out of 2X4’s and hockey pucks, to watching the drivers side passenger wheel axel and spindle separate itself from the vehicle while doing donuts. No matter what was going on if there was a Samurai in the group, you were in for a great day!

The one we see here looks to be rust free, which is not something, I am familiar with. It looks as though the Suzukis suspension has been upgraded heavily. The 1.3 liter 4 cylinder is probably lacking but running it through a manual transmission brings all the fun back to it. Mix that in with a set of Wrangler Duratracs and you have one lightweight and capable machine.

It will be hard to miss that the fenders are hacked off of it. This could be seen as a bad thing but yet again this is why I like a Samurai so much. Function first, fun second, looks…. Maybe not even on the list.

If you want to have the best mudding memories ever please don’t look past this 1987 Suzuki Samurai JX.  The bid is only at $2,300 people!

This little 1.3L might be underpowered, but I speak from experience when I say you cant kill them.
