I have written about dedicated trail/mud trucks, I’ve written about Tow rigs. Well why not get you one that can do both! Allow me to introduce a literal unicorn, a 1997 Ford F-350 Centurion.
You have never heard of a centurion before you say? Centurion was essentially a group that took cool ford trucks and turned them into absolute legends. They did an SUV to compete with the suburban before Ford even had the thought, and they took the biggest truck you could get and added an extra set of doors… They made limos out of work trucks, who does that!
All of that history aside, this truck was brought to my attention earlier and I’m sure it’s the best Centurion I’ve ever seen. I mean look at that infinity light!
Down to business, it is a 97 power Stroke with a 5-speed. Also it’s an F-350 so it’s a straight axle instead of traction beam suspension, which is a bonus. The new 6” lift and 36’ Super Swampers definitely give this the right look for heading off the pavement. With only 142,000 ticks on the clock this baby is hardly past the break in and ready for a long life of fun with its new owner. Oh did I mention it’s a CENTURION!
If you have more than $18,100 to spend on a true piece of Ford truck history, get over to Ebay, and don’t stop until you find out what the reserve price is!
(P.S. If you take this off-roading we can’t be friends anymore)
